Travelling period: June 2015, I was 10 years old
The nap gave us a boost of energy. To start, before visiting the i-site, we stopped over at a lookout along the road which was very close to the shores of Lake Taupo. There, we saw the snow-capped Mt. Ruapehu. The scenery was beautiful. We then continued our journey and visited the i-site. Since night was coming soon, we didn’t go anywhere for that day.
At the info center, I realised that Taupo is popular for its lake, hiking and volcanic areas. We looked around for information about their hotspots and my mom made some revisions in our itinerary for the next 3 days of stay here in Taupo.
When ready, we looked for a place to have dinner. This time, our accommodation didn’t have kitchen unlike our previous accommodations. Driving around, we ended up eating at the famous pizzeria called Domino’s. It was delicious since I really missed pizza a lot. And my mom said their pizza was so affordable. A large pizza was just $4.90 and I could finish my own pizza! She ordered 1 Hawaiian which is my favorite pizza ever and 1 pizza for both of them.
We ended our short day by watching TV and slept.
